We would like to invite you to attend the XXXII International Mineral Processing Congress in Cape Town, South Africa from 18-22 October 2026. IMPC 2026 will be hosted by the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM). Mining is of great importance to Africa in general, and particularly to Southern Africa. Africa accounts for a major portion of the world's mineral reserves and more than half of gold, platinum group metals, cobalt and diamonds. Southern Africa produces over two-thirds of Africa's mineral exports by value.

The SAIMM has been in existence for over 130 years, currently having around 4500 members. The Institute brings together the mining and metallurgical fraternity in terms of research, technology, education and professional development. Cape Town, Mother City of Africa, and the Western Cape, is an area which is regarded as one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Cape Town is one of the world's premier travel destinations.
